I see 4 rods in the picture, why? This is a grounding plane antenna. The longest rod is the antenna itself, the three other radios are set around the base of the antenna for grounding. Grounding increases the range of the antenna.
What is the range of this the B ANT setup? 118.8-126.8 which covers the entire aviation band.
How far will my radios transmit when using this antenna? The higher the antenna, the better the range. 5-7 miles from the tower isn't unreasistic.
